Meet Dr. nick m. nguyen
Dr. Nguyen started his private practice limited to Aesthetic, Implant, and Complex Restorative Dentistry in 1999. Initially locating his first practice in the Rose Garden area, he has since moved to a state-of-the-art office in Willow Glen, San Jose in 2010.
A longtime resident of the Bay Area, he was raised in Redwood City and later graduated from high school in San Jose before attending San Jose State University as an undergraduate student. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He became licensed as a registered dental hygienist during his dental training and practiced near Boston.
He subsequently completed his specialty training in advanced prosthodontics from the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. During his specialty training, he worked as a general dentist in Los Angeles and taught preclinical and clinical removable prosthodontics in the Division of Restorative Sciences at USC. At present time, he is completing a Master of Health Administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport College of Business.
In addition to the full scope of restoration and replacement of missing teeth, Dr. Nguyen has expertise in the simple to most complex implant-supported restorations, aesthetics, crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, removable complete and partial dentures, complex oral rehabilitation, TMD-jaw joint problems, traumatic injuries to the mouth’s structures, congenital or birth anomalies, and continuing dental care. He is also an affiliated provider with privileges at Kaiser Santa Clara Medical Center to help restore patients with oral cancer prosthetic reconstructions.
He is actively involved with the Santa Clara County Dental Society serving as President in 2016. He is currently the Chief Communications Officer and Editor for The Cutting Edge Magazine. In 2014, he served as President of the Northern California Association of Vietnamese-American Dentists. He also a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. He lectures at local study groups and Carrington College. His active areas of the lecture include dental implants and restorative dentistry.
Dr. Nguyen enjoys architecture and design, lap swimming, lecturing, continuing education, and involvement with the dental society. He and his wife, Susan, are proud parents of 14 years old triplets; Noah, Chloe, and Lauren.
